Senior Video Editor & Script Writer

Create compelling video content and persuasive scripts that drive conversions for our portfolio of D2C e-commerce brands across global markets.

About the Role

We're seeking a talented Senior Video Editor & Script Writer to join our creative team in Hanoi. You'll be responsible for producing high-converting video ads and writing compelling scripts that tell our brands' stories and drive sales across platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and more.

In this hybrid role, you'll combine your visual storytelling skills with persuasive copywriting to create content that stops the scroll and converts viewers into customers. You'll work closely with our growth marketing team, brand managers, and other creatives to produce content that performs at scale across our portfolio of D2C brands.

What You'll Do

Edit and produce high-quality video ads (15s-60s) optimized for Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other paid social platforms
Write persuasive scripts and hooks for video ads that capture attention and drive conversions
Create UGC-style content, testimonial videos, product demos, and lifestyle content for multiple brands
Develop creative concepts and storyboards for video campaigns aligned with brand guidelines
Iterate quickly on ad variations based on performance data and marketing team feedback
Add motion graphics, text animations, captions, and sound design to enhance video impact
Research competitor ads and trending content formats to stay ahead of creative trends
Manage and organize video assets, project files, and maintain brand asset libraries

What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience in video editing, preferably for e-commerce, advertising, or digital marketing
Strong portfolio showcasing video ads, social media content, and/or commercial work
Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or DaVinci Resolve)
Excellent copywriting skills with ability to write hooks, CTAs, and persuasive ad scripts in English
Understanding of social media ad formats, specs, and best practices (Meta, TikTok, YouTube)
Strong sense of pacing, visual storytelling, and what makes content "thumb-stopping"
Ability to work fast, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
Good English communication skills to collaborate with international team members

Nice to Have

Experience creating UGC-style content or working with influencers/creators
Skills in CapCut, Canva, or other quick-turnaround editing tools
Basic motion graphics and animation skills in After Effects
Experience with AI video tools (Runway, HeyGen, etc.)
Photography or videography skills for content shoots
Understanding of direct response marketing and conversion principles
