About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Shopify Front-end Developer who is excited about leveraging AI to accelerate their workflow. You'll be responsible for building beautiful, high-converting e-commerce storefronts for our portfolio of D2C brands.

The key difference in this role: we expect and encourage you to use AI tools for generating HTML, CSS, and front-end components. Your value lies in your expertise integrating these into Shopify's ecosystem-theme architecture, Liquid templating, metafields, theme settings, and performance optimization.

What You'll Do

Use AI tools to rapidly generate responsive HTML/CSS/Tailwind components based on design specs
Convert and integrate front-end code into Shopify 2.0 themes with proper Liquid templating
Build flexible theme sections and blocks with customizable settings for non-technical users
Implement metafields and metaobjects for dynamic content management
Optimize storefront performance (Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, code splitting)
Integrate third-party apps and custom JavaScript functionality
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
Document theme features and train team members on customization

What We're Looking For

3+ years of front-end development experience with strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript skills
2+ years of Shopify theme development experience (Shopify 2.0, Liquid, Dawn theme)
Open to using AI tools - Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0.dev for faster development
Proficiency in Tailwind CSS, SCSS, and modern CSS techniques
Strong understanding of Shopify's theme architecture, sections, blocks, and settings schema
Experience with Git version control and Shopify CLI
Eye for design and ability to translate Figma designs to pixel-perfect code
Results-oriented mindset - you want to deliver more and earn more

Nice to Have

Experience with Shopify Hydrogen / Headless commerce
Knowledge of Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, Ajax Cart)
Experience with Alpine.js or Vue.js for interactive components
Understanding of e-commerce UX and conversion optimization
Experience building custom Shopify apps
